Anemone 'Levante® Rosso'

Note: This variety originates from our skilled breeder in Italy and is not frost-tolerant. Order now and plant in spring – or pre-sprout it indoors or in a frost-free greenhouse over winter. This extends the flowering season and brings blooms as early as early spring.

Anemone 'Levante Rosso' is a bold and dramatic variety from the renowned Italian Levante series, designed to impress with its large, deep red flowers and vigorous growth. It flowers from March with poppy-like blooms in a rich, velvety red shade, highlighted by a striking blue-black centre with dark stamens – a contrast that gives the flower both strength and depth.

The petals are broad, silky and gently waved, adding movement and volume. The plant grows to about 20–30 cm in height and carries its flowers on strong stems, making it ideal for cutting as well as for beds and containers. 'Levante Rosso' is an anemone with classic drama and a modern presence – simply irresistible in any spring planting.

It can be planted in both spring and autumn, but it is frost-sensitive. We recommend overwintering in a frost-free greenhouse or covering it well with spruce branches or garden fleece when frost is expected.
