Anemone 'Mistral® Azzurro'

Note: This variety originates from our skilled breeder in Italy and is not frost-tolerant. Order now and plant in spring – or pre-sprout it indoors or in a frost-free greenhouse over winter. This extends the flowering season and brings blooms as early as early spring.

Anemone 'Mistral Azzurro' is a sophisticated and captivating variety from the Italian Mistral series, known for its extra-large flowers and elegant colour expression. It blooms from March with flowers in a deep lavender-blue to violet shade, often with subtle silver-grey tones and a prominent dark centre with blue-black stamens.

The petals are broad, gently waved and silky-smooth, giving the bloom a lively, almost watercolour-like appearance that shifts with the light. The plant reaches about 20–30 cm in height and carries its flowers on strong, upright stems, making it perfect for cutting as well as for planting in beds and containers. 'Mistral Azzurro' brings a sense of depth, elegance and calm to the spring garden – a richly coloured beauty with artistic character.

It can be planted in both spring and autumn, but it is frost-sensitive. We recommend overwintering it in a frost-free greenhouse or covering it well with spruce branches or garden fleece when frost is expected.
