Description
Camassia 'Quamash' – often simply called 'Quamash' – is a botanical beauty with deep roots in the North American prairies. Its elegant, star-shaped flowers in vivid purple tones are arranged in slender spikes on upright stems and open one by one in May–June, creating a calm and undulating bloom.
Camassia 'Quamash' is slightly shorter than its relative C. leichtlinii, typically reaching 30–50 cm in height, and has a more natural and wild-growing character. It is perfectly suited to perennial borders, woodland edges, and flower meadows, where it can easily naturalise and return year after year. The foliage is narrow, grassy, and green – a discreet yet lovely backdrop to the unfolding flowers.
