Description
Allium 'Aflatunense' is one of the most iconic alliums, blooming in May–June with striking, globe-shaped flower heads in a rich violet-purple hue. Each floral sphere, up to 10–15 cm in diameter, is made up of hundreds of small, star-shaped flowers that together form a dense and perfectly symmetrical ball. The tall, upright stems typically reach 80–100 cm, lifting the blooms above the grey-green, sword-shaped foliage, which dies back during flowering.
Allium 'Aflatunense' is a bold and structural variety, ideal as an architectural feature in perennial borders or among other bulbs. It brings rhythm, height, and depth of color to the early summer display and is a guaranteed eye-catcher in any garden.
