Allium 'Red Mohican'

Allium 'Red Mohican' is an unusual and striking ornamental onion that stands out with its unique, elongated flower heads in deep burgundy red. It blooms in May/June with dense, teardrop-shaped heads made up of small, star-shaped flowers – topped with a small, irregular tuft of sterile florets that gives the plant its distinctive and almost punk-like look.

Reaching a height of 70–100 cm, 'Red Mohican' floats above perennials and grasses, adding structure, depth of colour, and movement to the garden. Its dramatic hue and unusual form make it an ideal focal point in naturalistic or architectural plantings. A charismatic allium with a touch of wildness – elegant, yet never boring.
