Anemone 'Mistral® Grape'

Note: This variety originates from our skilled breeder in Italy and is not frost-tolerant. Order now and plant in spring – or pre-sprout it indoors or in a frost-free greenhouse over winter. This extends the flowering season and brings blooms as early as early spring.

Anemone 'Mistral Grape' is an intense and sensual variety from the exclusive Mistral series, known for its large blooms and vivid colours. It flowers from March with deeply saturated flowers in a rich grape violet shade, often with a velvety sheen and an almost black centre surrounded by deep blue stamens – a combination that gives the flower both depth and drama. The petals are broad and gently ruffled, with a silky matte surface that shifts elegantly in the light.

The plant reaches about 20–30 cm in height and carries its blooms on strong stems, making it ideal for both cut flowers and planting in pots or garden beds. 'Mistral Grape' is a refined and theatrical addition to the spring garden – full of character, colour, and intense presence.

It can be planted in both spring and autumn, but it is frost-sensitive. We recommend overwintering it in a frost-free greenhouse or covering it well with spruce branches or garden fleece during frost.
