Crocus 'Aqua'

‘Aqua’ takes over the garden with large, richly blue-purple, shapely blooms – unusually big for a crocus – that open in the season’s first warmth and attract hungry bees with their vivid orange stamens.

This large-flowered crocus creates a living sky-blue carpet when planted in drifts – in lawns, beds, containers, or on slopes – and its intense blue-violet colour strikes like a bold reply to winter’s lingering presence. The flowers open early (February–March), followed by narrow, grass-like leaves that frame the display with graceful elegance.
