Crocus 'Vanguard'

Crocus 'Vanguard' is one of the very first large-flowered crocuses to bloom in spring, opening its broad, cup-shaped flowers as soon as the sun's first rays touch the soil. The petals appear in a delicate grayish lavender that deepens toward the center with soft amethyst violet. Warm orange stamens stand in sharp contrast, creating a vivid focal point amid the muted tones.

Over time, 'Vanguard' spreads through offsets, becoming more impressive with each passing season. Its lively display lasts for 2–3 weeks, bringing early color and energy to the garden when it's most welcome.
