Fritillaria 'Persica'

Fritillaria 'Persica' is a dramatic and architectural bulb plant that blooms in April with striking spires of bell-shaped flowers in deep, purplish-brown to nearly black tones. The majestic flower spike can reach up to one metre in height and often carries more than 20 nodding blooms arranged closely along the stem, creating a tall, elegant silhouette.

The foliage is blue-green and waxy, providing a beautiful contrast to the dark flowers and enhancing the plant’s sculptural presence. Fritillaria persica adds an exotic and almost gothic character to the spring garden and is especially effective as a contrast to lighter tulips or combined with other bulbs in muted shades.
