Ranunculus 'Elegance® Clementine'

NOTE: This variety originates from our skilled breeder in Italy and is not frost-tolerant. Order now and plant in spring – or start it indoors or in a frost-free greenhouse over the winter. This gives a longer flowering season and blooms already from early spring.

Ranunculus 'Elegance Clementine' is a radiant and warm-toned variety from the refined Italian Elegance series, known for its large, perfectly shaped flowers and intense colours. It blooms in spring with densely filled, rose-like flowers in a glowing mandarin orange shade, often with golden undertones and soft tonal variation towards the centre, giving the bloom depth and vibrancy.

The petals are silky and arranged in tight layers, forming a rich, compact flower with both volume and elegance. The plant reaches about 30–40 cm in height and stands on sturdy stems, ideal for both cutting and colourful plantings in pots and garden beds. 'Elegance Clementine' brings energy, warmth, and a touch of exotic luxury to the garden – a ranunculus that lights up with irresistible strength and character.

For best results, we recommend soaking the ranunculus tubers in water for about 2 hours before planting.

Ranunculus are frost-sensitive and should be lifted in autumn before frost arrives. The tubers must be stored in a frost-free place and can be replanted the following year. Alternatively, they can remain in the ground and be covered with spruce branches, garden fleece, or fallen leaves to protect them from frost. If planted in autumn, they should either be covered or overwintered in a frost-free greenhouse.
