Ranunculus Ranunkel 'Elegance® Crema'

NOTE: This variety originates from our skilled breeder in Italy and is not frost-tolerant. Order now and plant in spring – or start it indoors or in a frost-free greenhouse over the winter. This gives a longer flowering season and blooms already from early spring.

Ranunculus 'Elegance Crema' is an especially elegant variety from the Italian Elegance series, cherished for its large, densely packed blooms. The flower opens in a soft vanilla tone with hints of ivory and pale lemon yellow, reminiscent of chilled lemon sorbet on a summer’s day.

The petals are perfectly arranged in a spiral, forming a rounded, rose-like shape with luxurious density. The plant reaches about 30–40 cm in height and carries its flowers on strong, upright stems – ideal for both cutting and refined container or border plantings. 'Elegance Crema' brings light and delicacy to the spring garden with its understated yet flawless look. A refined classic with timeless charm.

For best results, we recommend soaking the ranunculus tubers in water for about 2 hours before planting.

Ranunculus are frost-sensitive and should be lifted in autumn before frost arrives. The tubers must be stored in a frost-free place and can be replanted the following year. Alternatively, they can remain in the ground and be covered with spruce branches, garden fleece, or fallen leaves to protect them from frost. If planted in autumn, they should either be covered or overwintered in a frost-free greenhouse.
