Ranunculus Ranunkel 'Elegance® Rosa Striato'

NOTE: This variety originates from our skilled breeder in Italy and is not frost-tolerant. Order now and plant in spring – or start it indoors or in a frost-free greenhouse over the winter. This gives a longer flowering season and blooms already from early spring.

Ranunculus 'Elegance Rosa Striato' is an enchanting and sophisticated variety from the Italian Elegance series, known for its large, densely packed blooms and precisely spiralled petals. It flowers from June with silky double flowers in a soft pink hue, elegantly interrupted by fine, irregular chocolate-brown stripes and brushstrokes, giving each bloom a unique, almost hand-painted appearance.

The colour play is vivid yet balanced – romantic with an artistic edge. The plant grows to about 30–40 cm tall and stands on strong stems, making it ideal both for cutting and for decorative plantings in pots or borders. 'Elegance Rosa Striato' brings refined variation and calm movement to the spring garden – a ranunculus that is both graceful and full of character.

For best results, we recommend soaking the ranunculus tubers in water for about 2 hours before planting.

Ranunculus are frost-sensitive and should be lifted in autumn before the frost arrives. The tubers must be stored frost-free and can be replanted the following year. Alternatively, they can remain in the ground and be covered with spruce branches, garden fleece or fallen leaves to protect them from frost.
