Hyacinthoides hispanica 'Alba Maxima'

Spanish bluebell Hyacinthoides hispanica 'Alba Maxima' is a refined and calming presence in the spring garden – a variety with pure, snow-white flowers that bring light and elegance to shady corners and woodland-style plantings. The delicate, bell-shaped blooms hang in loose clusters along upright stems and sway gently in the breeze, like dewdrops caught in bloom. It flowers in May and June and reaches a height of around 20–25 cm.

The foliage is narrow and fresh green, and the plant thrives best in partial shade, where it can gradually form beautiful, natural carpets. 'Alba Maxima' is a particularly vigorous and floriferous white form of the species – ideal for naturalising, but just as captivating in containers, flower beds, or mixed bulb displays.
