Hyacinthoides hispanica 'Buebell Non-Scripta'

The English bluebell—Hyacinthoides non-scripta—is an enchanting, wild-growing spring flower that brings a touch of magic to woodland-style gardens. Its nodding, deep blue flowers hang along one side of gently arching stems and release a wonderful fragrance—a sweet, light honey scent that fills the air in May.

The flowers are narrow and bell-shaped, with petal tips that curl upwards, and the plant thrives best in partial shade and moist but well-drained soil, where it can quickly form dense blue carpets beneath trees and shrubs.
