Description
Scilla bifolia 'Rosea' is a rare and charming spring plant that lights up the garden in March–April with small, star-shaped flowers in a soft, pale pink shade – a gentle variation of the classic blue scilla. The flowers appear in tight clusters on short stems and open early in the season, often while the ground is still cold, making them one of the first flashes of colour in the garden.
The plant grows only 10–15 cm tall and has narrow, fresh green foliage that forms a low, delicate base. 'Rosea' is ideal for naturalising in grass, beneath deciduous shrubs, or in woodland-style plantings, where its subtle colour and early bloom bring a quiet and graceful start to spring. A botanical gem with a distinctly poetic presence.
