Anemone 'Tigre® Wine'

Note: This variety originates from our skilled breeder in Italy and is not frost-tolerant. Order now and plant in spring – or pre-sprout it indoors or in a frost-free greenhouse over winter. This extends the flowering season and brings blooms as early as early spring.

Anemone 'Tigre Wine' is a dramatic and artistic variety from the Mistral series, known for its wild, marbled expression and intense colour play. Flowering begins in March with large, striking blooms in white or pale pink base tones, irregularly patterned with deep wine-red streaks, speckles, or flames that vary in intensity from flower to flower.

The centre is dark and filled with blue-black stamens, creating a bold contrast to the vivid petals. The plant reaches about 20–30 cm in height and stands on strong, upright stems, making it perfect for cutting and giving the flowers a striking presence in pots and garden beds. 'Tigre Wine' is a living painting in the garden – wild, sensual, and unpredictable, with a powerful, almost theatrical beauty.

It can be planted in both spring and autumn, but it is frost-sensitive. We recommend overwintering it in a frost-free greenhouse or covering it well with spruce branches or garden fleece during frost.
